What Is A Team?
A team is a group of five or more people joining together to run or walk to help disadvantaged and inner-city children. Team members consist of co-workers, friends, family, children, clients, vendors, or anyone you can think of who would like to participate.

Why Form A Team?
Forming a team and participating in The Salvation Army 10K/5K Trail Run is a great way to give back to your community. Regardless of the size of your team, you’ll feel good knowing that your group made a difference in the lives of disadvantaged youth. You’ll build camaraderie and increase your visibility in the community, while participating in a healthy activity. But most of all, running or walking as part of a team is fun!

How Do I Form A Team?
Invite others to join your team. Hang a sign up sheet in a high-traffic area such as employee break rooms, copy room, reception desk, or hallways. Ask team members to recruit their friends and family.

Designate a team captain to organize the signup and collection of fees for team members. Team captains can also decide on a team fundraising goal and motivate their team to reach it. Fundraising tools are available on www.Active.com, that allow you to email friends and family asking them to donate towards your fundraising goal. You can also use our convenient pledge form. Each team member is encouraged to raise at least $10 per kilometer they run or walk.

If a team registration form has already been submitted, additional members can be added at a later date by filling in the team name on an individual registration form, or by signing up on Active.com and filling in your team name during the registration process.
